Finding who owns a company...

I'm trying to find out who owns a company but have reached a dead end.

It is registered at the address of an accounting firm in Guernsey.
The directors listed are members of this accounting firm.
The shareholders listed are companies that appear to be sister-companies of the accounting firm.

Is there any way I can find out who is the actual owner of the company as opposed to the accounting firm that represent them?

Are you sure those "accountants" are not the owners?

The Annual Return is required to show the name, nationality, date of birth and business occupation of every individual who is a director or shadow director - s 363(2)(b), s 364(1) and s 365(3) Companies Act 1985 (as amended).
There is also a requirement for Directors to show their home address.

My knowledge in this field is basic (so my apologies). But I think the accounting firm offers a nominee service. They act as a nominee director and nominee shareholder to keep he actual owner anonymous...
