finding swift or national clearing code for bank transfer

Hi,

I am trying to send money to India using the Post office site.
It is asking for SWIFT/BIC code
or National clearing code.

The recipient has sent me
an MICR code

Is this the same as the National Clearing Code?

I have traced the bank/ branch but cannot find a swift code for it.

You should be able to find the swift code for your bank here

Alternatively, just ask the receiver to call their bank and ask for it.
