Hi all
First post here, so be gentle!
I'm a web developer (like the other 90% of the members here it seems) who as well as creating sites for clients also run a series of sites for myself. There are a variety of sites which earn me a decent enough income via adsense.
One set of sites is based around local towns where I offer free business listings, local jobs, flatemates etc. I keep getting mails offering to advertise on the sites but dont have the time/inclination to chase these up as they're normally phone/mobile numbers.
Anyway...I began to think of splitting the network and selling off the rights to each site to a separate person - a bit like a franchise I guess - so they can then call up the local businesses or do calls themselves. I'd charge a setup fee and monthly fee to handle the techie stuff.
I don't have any sales acumen and so would like to get a salesperson on board to help sell each of the individual town 'franchises'. leads would come from advertising on the web etc. which i'd pay for.
So, where do I look for sales partners like this? ideally i'd like to them to work on commission only (i'd pay for the calls though), but do any decent people work on these sort of terms? Where would you recommend I look for people like this?
Any help or points in the right direction appreciated!
