Find who owns a .com domain

Im currently taking a LTD company to court for non payment, It may transpire that they do not have any funds to pay me. However they do have a .com domain that i want.

The only problem is that when i who is (registry search for ownership information on the domain) the domain info its showing as redacted so i cant provide that their LTD company owns the domain. Their LTD company name is on the website hosted on the domain, but i cant prove who actually owns the domain.

Is there anyway i can establish this ?

GDPR pretty much stopped public records for the domain!

Assuming you are intending on asking the debtor to offer you their website in exchange for payment, why don't you ask the debtor who owns it?

As the debtor Company is insolvent they cannot give the Company assets away at an undervalue, or give preference to you.

I've just tried it and it's saying that domain names that I own don't exist?

I posted that. Yeah not sure how accurate it is. But it found a few I own. I am not checking I have privacy on all domains.

Gdpr killed of the Whois stuff. Shame as sometimes it was the only clue.

Same here, ran 5 domains we have and none showed any info.

Ah, it doesn't seem to be very complete. I was just lucky in that the first domain I checked it gave full details including what is usually redacted. But I just checked a few more and all are redacted.

Interesting - I tried one of mine and none of the info it returns is familiar. My hosting company is not shown either, although they are in Germany, and two of the obscure URLs are .de? This surely must make criminal use of web addresses much too simple?

I put in my email address. And tried a couple of my other email addresses I might have used over the years to purchase or register the domain names. And it showed about 7 out of 50 domains I own. With my full details.
