Find an agent in UK

I have an import & export company, a factory and some shops with my brother in Ningbo, Zhejiang,China. I export many products to Europe and also import
commodities from other countries. So now I would like to find an import agent in UK to give me some help. of course, I can be his or her agent in China, too.
I wonder whether it's workable or not?

thank you for your answer. the agent should have some trade channels,and I will give him or her 3-5% according to the business amount.

Or you pay them a proper wage. I doubt you will find anyone in the UK to just work on commission when there are hundreds of Companies they could choose to work with in China.

You'll have a hard time to find client ordering directly from your factory in China.
Custom duties who will pay those? The substantial time goods travel? No valid guaranty that the items ordered are the same the client receives.

In that case you are unlikely to find anyone. There are thousands of agents in China. Why would anyone in the UK choose you with such a meagre percentage.

Thank you very much for your advice. First, I export products from Ningbo to UK, such as fabrics, garments,toys,stationerys,home appliances etc. which are the strong points in Ningbo, the target customers for these kinds of products are that they have only small orders ( often 500-1500 pcs),they don't want to come to China for such a small order, then I can help them purchase and inspect the goods for them, As per the price, it can be FOB Ningbo or CIF, or plus Custom duties, which can be discussed in the future. Second, I import commodities from UK, I hope he or she can do the same things for me. I think it should be fair with each other. I wonder if I make myself understood, thank you very much again!

Thank you very much for your advice. I find the person who is not just for this meagre percentage. He or she is supposed to be the same situation as me. We are equal and we do the same things for the other.I just serve the customers who only has small orders and don't want to come to China for the cause of cost. If he or she has large orders, they can come to China by themselves. What I am supposed to do is purchasing, inspecting,making all the procedure of import & export for them. And vice versa. Of course, all the things can be discussed in the future. Thank you very much again.
