Hi Guys we are looking for some Book Keeping and accounts software to use on a mac.

Anyone got good views on any softwares.

Used a few and been a pain thus far.....

Try Accounts Portal, www.accountsportal.com, it's web based, so you can run it on any OS (as long as you have internet connection!) and is very cost effective as well as being packed with features.

I'll second Dave's recommendation for Accounts Portal.

What packages have you tried so far?

There are very few packages available for the Mac (and most of those that I've seen haven't impressed), so you'll probably be best off looking at one of the online versions that you access using a web browser

We use Xero, but add KashFlow, E-conomic, Freeagent, and others to your list

Don't use, but came across Crunch recently which is online and includes all your accountancy as well as your bookkeeping.

Only problem is that it is priced higher than most online accountancy services, so you are getting less service for more money!

As mentioned, there are quite a few web packages out there. We use FreeAgent Central after having evaluated a few. FreeAgent is UK based, very user friendly, allows for mileage, expenses and time slips. Includes a brilliant estimate & invoicing module, openID support, integrations, and so on.. Get a 10% discount for life via a referrer such as ourselves or anyone who already uses it.
