Ferry Agency

I was thinking of becoming a ferry type agency to take bookings for travelling from uk to ireland and ireland to the uk. Mostly focusing on motorsport type people with van and trailers, 7.5ton lorries.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to go about this or where to start?

Try to start from Ireland to U.K because this gives you more then from U.K to Ireland.
More people travel towards U.K.
Try to get information of both places it helps you allot.

I would start by looking at who your customers would be. Contact some and ask the question, I would suggest that the big boys are already sorted with some sort of deal with the ferry companies, so what are you left with.

Maybe speak with the race tracks and ask who come to them, speak with the ferry companies or become an affiliate for the ferry companies, we already do this for our clients who are driving to their holiday homes in France and Spain.

Why would I use you? Are you going to be that much cheaper than booking direct?

As a race car driver and a motorsports fan myself i am always travelling to and from ireland to the uk to race and spectate, so i know who most people use.

Some of the other ferry agencys can be over £100 cheaper going through them instead of the other companys direct.

I just don't know who to contact within the ferry companys themselves to sort out some sort of deal or arrangement?
