Feature on the BBC tonight - thanks to everyone who helped us!

We received lots of really good advice from you all and just wanted to share the end result. Our franchisee Heather did a really good job and we are so proud of her :)

Take a look http://tinyurl.com/amzdol and thanks once again, we are really pleased with it!

I dare you not to tap your feet to this one :)

To quote Heather: "It's a franchise, I know its a tried and tested business, it works"

Music to my ears, I have just invested in a franchise and although most of the comments have been helpful and supporting, it only takes one person to pour scorn and misery on the whole thing.

I think franchising is great and enables me to work under an umbrella, safe in the knowledge that help and support is there. I know Its up to me to make it a success but I couldn't do it alone, its a partnership.

I wish you and Heather the greatest of success for the future.

I start my training next week and this has re-invigorated me ten-fold.

Kind regards

Robert Blake:)

Hello Robert and congratulations on acquiring your new business, I know that others on the forum have been able to give you some good advice and encouragement on other threads :)

Treat your new business as you would any other and be prepared for seriously hard work over the next few months as it really can take a good while for things to pick and for you to feel as if you are becoming 'established'. There are many people on here who are involved in the franchising industry (from either side of the fence :)) who will be able to give you further advice and although we are all working in different industries, the principles are just the same :)

It would be great to keep in touch and to hear how you are doing. Perhaps a new thread on the franchising section giving a diary account of your experience (from training to launch and through the first 6 months etc) would be a great read. Then again, you probably wont have the time ;)

Congratulations once again and good luck. I am pleased that Heather's article was able to cheer you up. She really did approach the whole franchising thing very methodically (she is a managment accountant after all ;)) and has systematically worked her way through the system and taken on board all of our advice so far which is going to ensure she gets off to a flying start.
