Favicon? Browser Icon - Your Help Please!

Hi all

When you look at solutionfacilities.co.uk do you see the rac icon?

I don't think I put it there and can't see it in the code I've looked at, is there a chance you can have a gander please and tell me 1 if its there for you and 2 how I've managed to add it!!

Hello,

You don't really need any code just add the image favicon.ico into your root folder and it should work

It's probably been cached by your browser, it will go eventually, or try a hard refresh (CTRL + F5) or clear your cache.

It does drive people mad when they change their favicon and then cannot see it because the old one is cached.

Hi there,

No can't see one and there is none forced to display through your code - as others have said I would clear your cache and cookies as it may be from a different site.

This sometimes happens with YouTube due to being affiliated with Google. When you click login on the main YouTube site you are actually logging into a Google account so the Favicon is refreshed with Googles rather then YouTubes - if that makes any sense!

sometimes you need to add that code before the /head coding on the website to get it to work

replacing the png bit with ico if you've made it a .ico file.

Firefox has a bug where it won't refresh your favicon even if you clear your cache, you have to restart the browser. I hope they fix this soon!
