Sorry guys maybe I am in not right place. But yesterday I found an advertise for 2007 Scoda Octavia it's ex taxi with high miles on it but I didn't mind because I've been ask my friend to buy this car we want to take to my country and brake for parts. Advertise was without any pcs. So I went to see a car. I never deal with scodas but all the time I walk around that car something was not right I thought I cant be 2007 but I saw number plates it 2007 on v5 first registration is 2007. I paid all money but i didn't have another driver so today I am going to take a car. But I check online and 2007 model is a new shape guy was clever he was selling octavia as a 2007 but his model is like 2005 just probably been sitting in a car shop till 2007 because v5 shows for you firs registration date not when a car has been made. So it's not what we were expecting. Tonight I gonna ask my money back and probably that guy will say no. What I should do because I am very angry I won't let this story finish like this.

It was advertised as 2007 the registration document confirms it was first registered in 2007, you saw it and you bought it.

There is no deception. it is common practice for existing models to be sold off after new ones are launched.

Do you really think dealers will destroy all their stock when a new shape comes out?

You have no case. If it had been the later model it would no doubt have sold for a higher price.

It was advertised as a 2007 reg and it was a 007 reg. No claim there

Did the seller at any time state that it was a 2007 model?

You looked it and thought something was wrong, but bought it anyway - not a great position for you

Take the car & make the most of it.
