So it seems Fasthosts email servers are screwed up again, and their world famous 24/7 Reseller Support Staff have all bunked off to go play in the heatwave.

Can anyone recommend a decent hosting reseller package, or would any of you brilliant hosting companies like to help out before I burn to death in Fasthosts Hell!?

You'll look back on ditching fasthosts as a "why didn't I do it sooner" moment. They are the only ISP that has their own entry in our knowledge base

Poor site speed, reliability issues and intermittent bugs on Fasthosts hosting

I'd recommend www.tollon.net - we've got dedicated servers from them but used to use their reseller package. You have to pay around GBP30 per site rather than unlimited free ones, but then again its the unlimited free business thing which is probably why fasthosts is so bad... the tollon servers have good speed and uptime as shared hosting goes.

Have a look at http://www.2008hosting.net/Reseller_Web_Hosting.aspx starting from £7.99/Month.

Be warned if you don't give the correct notice period to fasthosts they will auto-bill you i.e. if you pay monthly they usually want 1 months notice for cancelation.

Thanks Dwebs - One step ahead of you there! My 6 month Free Reseller trial ends next month and I was due to pay the full annual fee in July. I've quickly changed that to a monthly bill so that I can get out (fingers crossed) much easier.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions so far. I'm going away for a couple of weeks on Thursday so will take a look at all the options on my return. Ideally I'm looking for a Linux Reseller package so feel free to leave more comments below or PM me any quotes etc.

:)

I've just cancelled my FH reseller account and as long as you can it before the renewal is due it isn't an issue. I put a stop to mine about 2-3 weeks before it is due for renewal, however just to be certain I've removed my payment details, since they leave the account open, since "mistakes" can happen!?! :D

Question is if you remove your payment details do they actually delete them or just place a marker on their system????

Good question!! Actually I've just discovered it won't let me delete them since the account is held open coz I have active domain names registered, however I do have an e-mail from them saying the reseller account has been cancelled and no further charges apply (however if their accounts team is as efficient as their support team I could be in trouble........ )

Well this is Fasthosts so you can never be 100% certain, but I called their billing department and asked them to change me to a monthly plan. I've since checked on the control panel and the recurring payment is now showing as monthly rather than annually so it should be ok.

Like I said though, this is Fasthosts so I half expect them to bill both monthly and annually ;)

We could offer you a reseller package starting from as little as £6.99 per month all the way upto £24.99 per month depending upon your requirements. If you need a custom package just get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you :)

Take a look at http://www.geeksrv.net/resellers.php for more information.

From my experience, deleting your card from FastHosts system does stop them billing you, however it doesn't always stop the nice warm fuzzy letters they send you demanding payment :)

Just come across this thread, to clarify anyone we employ always states so (eg. me!)

Affiliate maybe?
He doesn't work for us but if he is who I think he is, he's definitely a good client :)

Good to see that in his post he didn't use any affiliate links, but has them in his sig. Anyone is free to sign up to our affiliate program :)
