Im in the process of setting up my own fancy dress business. I handmake costumes and also buy them in ready made.
Someone has said they will report me for hiring out childrens costumes as they dont comply with the EN71 regulations. Am I wrong in saying that as its a hire that shouldnt come in to it as the goods still belong to me im not actually selling them?
I wondered if i got all customers to sign a disclaimer on hire saying that the costume is not a toy and they take full responsiblilty for safe use would this cover me or am i going to have to get all my costumes tested and certified?
