There is more to this than meets the eye, Skype is now owned by Microsoft and they have released office 365 last week and their biggest competitor is.....
Google.
Google have just released Google+ which is a competitor for Facebook........
well Microsoft is one of Facebook's biggest shareholders, so they partner up to provide strong competition against a common competitor.

Facebook is going to launch video chat that means it will be a great fun to its users, who are already crazy for using it. I means to say there are millions of users are in the world now the no. of users will increase immensely.

We have been using it today, seems pretty good quality, we didn't notice any real issues and the calls stayed connected.
I would personally love to see a version of this as a live chat option for our business page, but there is currently no chat support for business pages yet.
Overall pleasantly surprised with it to be honest.
