Facebook Shop

Hey Guys..

Im thinking more and more about a facebook shop, something like this:

http://www.facebook.com/WiggleCycli...loggle#!/WiggleCycling?sk=app_144440148901844

Does anyone do them and how much do they cost? Is it per product numbers or just pay per month or year?

How long does it take to set up and who do the payments go through?

Would i need to put the products in manually or could that be done automatic from my website?

Thanks
Gemma

    You have as good as already got one.

    You just need to create a version of your site with everything stripped off above <!-- body_text //--> and below <!-- body_text_eof //-->
    then add just below <!-- body_text //-->
    <table width="560px">
    <tr>

    and just above <!-- body_text_eof //--> </tr></table>

    then move your cart button in to this table somewhere.

    Basically what this does is create a 560px version of your shopping area without the header, footer or side navs.

    if you want you can then add a 560 header and footer to it.

    Just to add: better still, make a fluid version of your site that looks good in 560

    Have a look at ECWID http://www.ecwid.com/ - I'm looking at this because it'll work in Facebook and on a website where they both share the same backend - oh and (from all I can see) it's free

    Looks pretty good Trevor!

    For the OP dont forget you can now embed a site into your FB page, so if you do have an ecommerce site you can embed that.

    Yes, I can't really understand the need to set up a whole new system when the OP appears to have a perfectly good system that with a bit of tweaking might easily be just set up as the canvas.

    What these FB features do show is the advantage of having a fluid design

    Gary - I wouldnt know where to start.

    UKSBD - Ive never been as confused in my life but that sounds a good idea if it could be my website - that would be great!

    Basicaly your site is in 5 sections
    Top, left, middle, right, bottom.

    Run a template that does away with top, left, right, bottom and resize the middle to 560 (or make it fluid but still look good at 560) and that will drop straight in to facebook.
    You will have to move the cart button and nav in to the 560 section, but that should be simple with a new header and footer

    I have worked with the people at Zibaba. You can contact Neil Z. He is in charge of the UK. He created the store for Wiggle and I am sure he could assist you too. His phone number is 020 3286 9980. His email is neil(at)zibaba(dot)com

    I hope he can help. I also sent this thread to him.

    Good Luck!
