Facebook Power Editior

Hi,

I'm trying to export campaigns from one Facebook advertising account to a new one via power editor.

I export the campaigns but when I go into the new account and 'bulk upload' it loads for a moment but says there is nothing to import. Any ideas what it could be or another way how to do it?

Facebook is so shonky compared to adwords.

Haven't a clue, this is a general business forum which includes general discussions on related topics. How about posting in a more specific design, seo, internet marketing forum about with this question..you'll probably get a better response?

Easy tiger... the OP has every right to post this question here, this is the on-line marketing forum on UKBF after all.

I'm sure as well as me there will be members who may be able to provide guidance.

Matt, I use Facebook Power Editor occasionally but do find it a bit flakey, as you've pointed out not really a patch on Google's AdWords Editor.

I'll see if I can replicate your issue and hopefully I can provide a resolution.

OK Matt I think I've replicated your issue and I've found a resolution.

Export the campaign as normal, open the .csv file and save it as a unicode .txt file.

Now you want to delete the campaign ID and campaign name values on the sheet.

Save the file (as a unicode txt)

Now select the new account from the drop down box in FB PE.

Select Bulk Import

Select the unicode txt file and import.

You should see the dialogue box stating successful import.

Really appreciate your help with this. I've followed the steps and it uploaded the campaign but no ads were uploaded.

I think its the Facebook system to be honest, really is light years behind adwords editor.

I'll keep trying to see if I can get this sorted.

I've never come across power editor before?
But it may be a good opportunity to start a campaign..
