Facebook Page (for businesses)

There is a similar thread going on but I didnt want to hijack it.

I have set up a facebook page for a business. This not linked to a personal account. Th email address is the company email which is not used for any other facebook account except for the business.

I also have a personal facebook page which I dont really use. This is not linked to the business page (I use my personal email address to log in).

From what I am reading - I have done this wrong.

How can I resolve this? If anyone can help that would be great.

Hi There,

As per the other thread you cannot automatically transfer a business page from one facebook account to another. I would therefore suggest to create a new business page on your personal facebook account, copy/paste the content form the old page to the new one, ask those who liked the old page to like the new one and then shut the old one down.

If you you would like to further boost likes to your new page I would suggest to run a facebook advertising campaign.

Is it possible for me to delete my personal profile page and then start a new personal facebook account that is linked to the business page? ( idont mind doing this)

My business pages will be more difficult to replicate than to reinvite my personal friends.

Or Can I not just allow my personal profile to become an "admin" or a "manager" of my business page? That should then link the two and be in compliance with T&Cs - or not?

Yes of course you can do it so , or if you want to create an new account for your business then you can do it so , if the page already has a reputation maintained then its better just to add MANAGER to your page.

When I first created a facebook page for our business I set up a separate facebook account (I already had a personal facebook account that I had been using for several years). I read a while ago that facebook may not like this so I transferred my facebook business page to my personal account and closed the account I had set up. I did this by giving my personal account full admin rights to the business page, then removed admin rights from the new facebook account, then deleted the new facebook account. Seems to have worked OK!
