I am a confessed dabbler who has only dipped my toes in FB adverts. I have tried the single ads, with a tagline 'Looking for the PAWfect petsitter'? but I find that the text on these ads are so limiting.

I thought I would try the carousel ads and found the first slide really easy, however, try as I might I just cannot understand how you add text to ALL the slides in a carousel!

I target my audience to dog lovers, cat lovers etc, which seem to work and the age range from 30 upwards.

Unsure if I should keep using this tagline, or try another. Can anyone advise if there is anything utube that is easy to understand regarding these type of ads please?

Not certain about youtube, but Buffer has a very good guide "
"The Ultimate Guide to Facebook Carousel Ads". Not sure I can put a link in here but just type the title into Google and you should find it. I've used carousel ads successfully with a couple of clients so they can definitely be worth while. Good luck :)

Yes just took a peek and it looks very informative.

I would like to try and tell a story, but still a little unsure about putting it together.

The first slide seems straightforward enough, but when I come to the second and subsequent slides, it does not allow me to put text to the pics!

Not sure about carousels but (for regular ads) sometimes saving the ad as a draft and then going back to edit solves such problems. Although, in extreme cases, publishing the ad then going back to edit also solves it.

Not exactly ideal but facebook is one heck of a mess when it comes to editing adds.

I thought I had a real breakthrough. After an hour or so I found a template for these ads and bingo. The first slide looked great, so I added another and was doing well for that when it froze and kept stating that I had left no 5 out! Checked all the text and cannot see any missing at all, but it will not allow me to go on and there is no preview, just an option to send a draft to my mobile. Clicked on that, checked FB on my mobile & nothing. Another afternoon completely wasted, with nothing to show for it. Soul destroying :(
