Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help. I have just taken over a new business and have created a Facebook business page. I noticed that there were a few other unofficial business pages floating around, so I tried to claim ownership and verified through call to my business phone number. The next day, I received a notification from Facebook that verification had been successful and I can now manage these pages, yet when I click on my list of pages, they do not show up and I cannot manage or edit these new pages. The pages still exist on Facebook but any posts have been cleared.

Is there a way to solve this or contact Facebook? Thanks!

Yeah you need to be careful there, to make sure that when you took over the business you also had permission to take over the pages - if this was the case surely the old business owner would have given you the password to the facebook business account or added you as a page admin. You'd honestly be better off just sticking with a new page you created - if there are many pages claiming to be your business this isnt the way to approch this, the best way would be to apply for the gray verification tick so people know your business page is the one linked to the legit limited company.

I’m assuming the OP is referring to the ‘holding pages’ that Facebook creates for businesses automatically.

I’ve seen businesses with 3 or 4 of these if m they happen to have names in various online directories with slightly different spellings or slightly varied addresses (there may be one including Ltd in the name and one without for example).

These particular pages are quite legit and the business owner has every right to claim them which is why Facebook has allowed them too.

Ideally they should all be merged into one page that you manage.
