But I think you'll still need a personal page to set it up and act as administrator. There is no obligation for you to play an active role in Facebook beyond your Business Page, but you still need to be able to sign in!

That's true. I have my personal aacount and I have created the "page".
But I really don't understand what to do next with my page. You can't invite friends, you may only sit and wait while anybody will notice and "like" your page. Does anybody know what to do next, when you have a page there? It sounds stupid I know, but I haven't had my personal account before.
What I'm doing now - refreshing news, searching for some pages relevant to mine and "like" them ))))
May be to create the "group" is better than to create "the page"?

Invite your friends from you business fan page is totally fine. When you update etc from your business side it will update with your business name. Nothing personal will be seen, unless you want your information on there.

Happy to give advice as I also run Manage My Social Media

Dont mind giving UKBF peeps some help ...:)

pm if you want to

Thanks James

You will need a personal page to set up a fan/business page.

Just put in the very basic information required and set all your security (under account settings to private) no one will be able to see your details unless you invite them to friend your personal account.

Non of your fans on your business page will be able to see your personal if you don't want to.

Worst case if you have to make up your own personal details.

Won't take you 5 mins.

Before you start going crazy inviting everyone, get the content sorted. If you have a blog stream content to the page. Think about adding videos and photos of products of whatever. Otherwise when you invite people they'll wonder what's there for them.

As someone has said though, is this going to be a critical new business initiative for you? What does your company do? Are your customers or market likely to engage with you on Facebook even?

Create an account using your business name (this is technically against their guidelines), then edit your preferences/permissions to prevent anyone from finding you or viewing any of your profile.

Then create your business page. Any interaction on your page will not show any association to your account that you are logged in to.

There is no other possible way to create a page without signing up to the site first.

Hope that helps.
