Exporting to Russia

I currently import a range of pet supplements from the USA into the UK. At a trade show I was contacted by a Russian company who are want to import the products.
So my question is does anyone know what documents are required to do this and had any experience of exporting into Russia

Russia isn't the easiest place to get freight into and generally most couriers won't offer a full service to deliver shipments other than documents due to customs restrictions.

As a freight company we fly freight into Russia but our customers terms to the receiver are that they take care of the clearance and delivery.

A guy recently posted an article to business report who has a base in UK and Russia. He is a consultant who helps people export to Russia.

My experience is that while most Chinese mean well, they have a different way of thinking about this to us over here, which can end up with both parties feeling hard done by.

Are there a lot of Chinese in Russia then ????
