Existing Product Patent Search

Hi guys,

Ran a search on this but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

There is a product that has been brought to market and then discontinued by the manufactuer.

How can I find out if this product (which isn't being produced by anyone right now to my knowledge) is still under a patent?

I'd like to get quantity of this product made in the far east, but obviously I don't want to be getting into any trouble if I do!

Or why not contact the manufacturer direct?
