An international (non-eu) company has purchased something from us, are sending DHL to collect it, and are requesting we send an invoice with a declaration on it about EU preferential origin.
I understand the point of the declaration but my question, as the supplier, is how do I know that the goods I'm selling are of EU preferential origin? These are just "off the shelf" goods, and we are just reselling them.
Can we just rely on the "Made in [eu country]" declaration on the box? Or do we need some specific declaration from the manufacturer?
As this is a legal declaration which can affect the tax rates I don't want to just assume or wing it...
