Hi
Am I missing something here?
I've had a read through the Information Commisioner's website. It would appear most small online retail operations would fall within the terms of a data controller, and need to register (£35 a year - for smaller companies)
I've searched the public register in my particular sector, and I can't find one company registered. Well, not the smaller companies any way. All the large suppliers are registered.
Is this not just asking for trouble? If they are covered by the Act, then they commit a criminal offence by not registering. - Unless I very much misunderstand the law.
