I'm looking for slimline/modern looking EPOS hardware - I like the HP ElitePOS but it does seem pricey. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, for the software side, any comments on EPOS Now? They seem to offer lots of add ons and versatility to connect to websites etc.

Hi,

I did try to pm you but I haven't done 30 posts.

I work for an epos provider called till tech. Just Google till.tech or type it into your address bar.

We provide software and hardware but we have a unique solution over traditional epos providers. We also build you your own bespoke website and mobile app (included within the cost of the hardware) that is fully integrated into your epos and gives you the ability to take bookings, online orders, with full e-commerce, booking systems, delivery tracking

Our systems are used in salons, restaurants, barbers, online eshops/ecommerce, retail outlets and franchises, repair stores and many more b2c and also b2b environments.

Our system has much more to it and is a full business management tool that provides you all the tools for your business even down to loyalty point schemes, full reporting/analysis, payments and accounting all in one place.

Our prices are very competitive and to show you our software, we will create you a website, with your logos, colours, branding, content and products and show you our software in full. I personally will visit you and further discuss your needs and requirements and how our hardware and software can full can help.

If you would like more information, I can provide anything you want to know here or you can call my mobile. I want to post my mobile and email here but not sure I'm allowed, I haven't fully read the rules of the forum yet.

Kind regards
Matt Beavis

PS. I know I have offered you no advice in this and I am new around in this forum and do not want to break any rules, so here is a little of what I have learned working in epos systems and how important it is. If you want me to go into more detail or you have specific qusstions I'm happy to help.

Regarding epos providers as a whole there is lots out there and some are very industry specific. You mention eposnow and it is clear they have a popular system and many businesses of all types use them. So a good place to start and get a baseline if expectations.

However people overlook their software solutions and never tend to fully understand how they can be fully utilised to drive sales, automate tasks, improve efficiency, reduce error and many other important factors.

An epos system should be so much more than just processing sales and looking at the figures. With the right epos/business management system for your business integrated into all the elements used to communicate and transact with your customers, can allow you to focus on developing your business, rather than being constantly frustrated at what you would like to do but can't because your systems are limited or are to expensive to expand, or are slow and not user friendly. So it is an important decision for your future and your staffs future sanity. :)

Hardware depends on environment but look for good warrenties and cheap isn't always better. Good hardware will save you money in the long run and make software run and look better making it nicer to use and less frustrating.

Good luck in your search

There are actually several options I can think of, some more similar to the HP ElitePOS than others:
  1. Source a similar piece of hardware directly from a Chinese manufacturer. eg. see https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesal...d=SB_20191203073101&SearchText=all+in+one+pos
  2. Buy a similar system from a UK supplier. eg. https://boxtechnologies.com/products/pos-systems/
  3. Buy individual components (tablet, printer, software, etc) to build a low cost yet effective system. eg. stand from https://www.boxapos.com/, software from https://www.food-ordering.co.uk/, printer from https://www.epson.co.uk/products/sd/pos-printer/epson-tm-t88vi-series
  4. Find the POS software that you like (there are FREE ones too like https://loyverse.com/ while you can see more at https://blog.capterra.com/the-top-6-free-and-open-source-pos-solutions/) and then get any hardware you like for it.
All in all, there are a few options, each one with its own pros/cons and pricepoint.

I hope the above help.
