I know a lady who sells mohair scarves on all the big London markets.

She has a contact in one of the old Soviet states, so she goes over there with two empty suitcases, buys enough over there to fill them up. (you cam imagine how many light mohair scarves that is ) - she then sells them here for £15 a pop.

She does this every couple of months.

I am no9t sure how much she buys them for, can imagine it wouldn't be much more than £2-3 each though

Well, people now do have more money compared to the days before,so they are more care about their health, outer apperance. So,I just thought the health&beauty products can make some profits. If you do wanna to make the profit larger, then you should shrink the cost.We can provide you these.
We are selling TENS Machine, massager&beauty products. You can contact me through skype:hagridjack97.
Whatever the decision is made by you,I only make the suggestions.Thank you!

it is very hard nowadays to come with a completely new product/service. it is wiser is to stick to current products and try to innovate their features, for instance the ipad and iphone are success stories.

How old is the group?

An old favourite of mine is Kleeneze, I know, don't say it????

Its a good demonstration model of how you can sell without a sales pitch, simply get the group to visit friends and family, tell them about your enterprise "business" and leave a catalogue, call back the next day and pick them up with any orders.

I used this with a small community group some years ago and it was a great success.

It demonstrates that you can run a business without any real skills or expertise, shows direct marketing in a reatively good light, teaches basic organisational and numeracy skills and provides a return on a relatively low investment.

I'm not with Kleeneze now, so this is not a pitch to find agents, but I have used the business model to good effect with young people who were out of education.

I agree whole-heartedly with the above post. I too am ex-Kleeneze (as many people are) but it did give me a good grounding in running a business, shoe-string marketing and self-development.

Never thought I would ever recommend Kleeneze to anyone after my experience (that's another story) BUT I did get some very positive tips and a real thirst for running my own business.
