Employment History Problems - Please Help

Hi all,

I have recently started a new job that requires pre-employment screening. I have provided details of my last 5 years employment history for this.

One of my previous employers from 2006 is no longer in business (company dissolved). I cannot provide any evidence as I simply haven't kept anything.

I have contacted HMRC and they have a record of my employment with that company. I have asked for confirmation of my employment history. Will this usually show a start and finish date as my new employer requires?

Any help is much appreciated. Been in the new job 3 weeks now but worried I could be out the door if I can't get this resolved.:|

I doubt your new company would be interested in exact dates that far back just 2004-2006.

If no longer trading thennothing they can check up on anyway

My new employer is a bank and they seem to be quite thorough with these things. I think they'll be satisfied with at least the start month and finish month.

HMRC will have the details of your pay, NI, etc., I suppose. You might also ask your bank (where your salary was paid).

Some companies ask for a personal reference in that case. If you have any of your friend or some one mayht be ex coleague who can confirm in writing that you were werking for that company on those dates.
