EMPLOYEE WITHOUT NIN

A lady got in touch with me to work on project basis work.

I sent her a contract and she agreed with everything & sent back a signed signature.
She inserted:
-name
-address
-"signature" -- just typed name and not a real digital signature

However, she skipped the TAX number box as if it wasn't there and didn't mention anything about it either.

Then I emailed her back that I need her NIN and she didn't reply. It's been 2 days now. I really don't know what to even think about this anymore. She seemed experienced and professional but we got stuck with NIN.

Think she's Chinese, she used to work in NYC and now living in London.

I'm not sure how to handle this, never been in such situation... Any tips?

Maybe she didn't get the email and she thinks she is waiting for you.
I'm sure she did... I replied to an email and sent a follow up email this morning too. Before, she'd reply pithing 12h max.

There's nothing wrong with my emails either. I checked.

My lawyer said I don't need her NIN but I do need it in terms of ID in case of dispute.

Not sure why is she avoiding this which is why I'm worried.

Why are you making a joke out of a question which is why this forum is about - to help people? Go play games by yourself, you're clearly bored.

Indeed - if email isn't being replied to, try another means of communication if you want her or else ditch her in favour of someone providing the information.
Staying as you are appears to be not a viable option.

HMRC have a service where you can reclaim your NIN if you're lost (or never known) it.

Search Google for 'Find a lost National Insurance number'

You can also use their online/self-service Personal Tax Account and get it there but chances are she won't pass the verification checks (a lot of people don't but if she's been living in different places, she won't have much of a credit history, which the Verify service relies on).Search Google for 'Personal Tax Account' to find this (I've less than 30 posts so can't share links sorry!) :)
