We're considering it at the moment too for when the kids are a bit older, and would apparently find it 'easier' to get into certain places due to the Mr having an in demand skill set too. Did look into it properly a couple of years ago but can't remember who we were dealing with at the time.
Will be interested in any replies...![]()
Sorry:redface:
I even messed up on the quote button.
I'd love to think I could do it one day, but my boys are 11 & 13 (they live mostly with their mum), so that'd be too big a wrench.
Anyone without kids though, or whose kids are grown up - go for it I say - what's the worst that could happen?
All the best![]()
I cannot understand anybody wanting to leave the UK. It took me a long time to get here but I think it's a fabulous country. I lived in Australia for just over two years and couldn't wait to get away.
I'm just waiting for my house to sell and we're all on the 1st available flight to NZ.
It's a bit easier for me as most of my immediate family have emigrated there already.
It's an expensive to do though. £10K it's costing me to relocate - visa fees, flights, shipping etc. Not something you can go into half cocked.
I have an eye on putting an offer on this place when we get out there.

I'd struggle to find a damp old house with a garden complete with bad weather for that much in the UK.
