    Hi,

    I recently placed an order to go in Emergency Services Press Magazine. They did a fantastic advert for me and posted my advert on their website as a freebie. They've sent copies of the magazine to my local police, fire and ambulance station and I'm generally chuffed with the service. There is a few bits of bad press about these advertising agencies online and I was wondering if anyone else knew what the situation is? I'm going to advertise in their Summer edition too, but I read some pretty harsh remarks online and I'm unsure about going ahead now, can anyone help?

    I've just logged in and seen your message. I had a positive experience with Emergency Services Press too, their graphic design team is great and they made sure my advert with them was perfect. I've been doing a bit of reading up on the advertising scene and these guys have a bit of bad press associated with them simply because there are so many copycats and rogue traders in the same sector. They've even got somebody copying their website which is bringing them into disrepute aswell. As far as I know, you can rest assured you'll get value for money if you go with Espress Ltd (recently taken over from Emergency Services Press Ltd) and you can check whether you've placed an order with the right company on 0845 474 9149. I got my copy of the publication and had no problems with the service whatsoever. Top marks to Espress !!

    PS make sure you call that number to see if you've placed the order with the genuine Emergency Services Press

    Smells fishier than Captain Birdseye to me.

    Curious how the one who's now got an impressive 4 posts managed to post all of them talking about how this isn't a scam.

    I can understand someone googling the company and finding these threads if they are being harassed and ripped off (as this company seems to do) but why would you google it if you were completely satisfied with the service?

    Thanks for the re-assurance!! I just got an online advert with espress ltd, I thought they might be a bit dodgy what with all the negative remarks people have posted here and there. I actually asked them for some editorial for the second edition of their mag (which I'm in) and its pretty good, they replied promptly too. I did get ripped off by a company called Excel media around 6 months ago doing a similar thing but I got my money back after a few terse phonecalls. Fortunately Espress Ltd are the real deal, but there are a number of nasty companies out there copying what they do and not actually distributing the magazines!!!!!

    haha!! Yes, If they were dodgy they wouldnt register themselves, feel a lot better now Ive seen the editorial and the newsfeeds on their espress dot org dot uk website

    mnnn these posts are highly suspicious. Why would anyone create an account to tell us they are a legit company? And a postal address doesn't prove any company aren't scammers. This can simply be a drop off address for mail. You only need to take alook at google to see it's a flat above a chemist, definately not a printing service.

    The reality is some companies do create 'glossy' looking professional magazines and some are complete scammers but rarely do companies ever see a return on the adverts and if you do I'll eat my socks. Most promise to distribute thousands locally but all they do is send them out to the advertisers to keep them happy.

    Look at it this way most businesses can't get a return on yellow pages, yell and thompson which have a massive local distribution network so how are you going to get a return on a £250 (usually around that figure) mag that is only distributed to charity services? Most these services target new businesses and there's a reason why.

    Emergency Press Services was originally run by George Williams in Liverpool under Weinstein Williams, they were busted my the mirror's scam busters for selling advertising in magazines which didnt exist.

    As I havent posted enough I cant insert links but:

    George Williams
    Weinstein Williams
    and Paul Daily Weinstein Willams / George Williams does the trick.

    Rumour has it that he is now working with P Daly, also in Liverpool on the new Emergency Services News.

    Basically it's a load of ********. Dont go near it.

    We advertised once in one of these type magazines, it was about £575 for a quarter page colourful advertisement that was to go to NHS places, hospitals etc. It was for two issues and was one of the biggest wastes of money but I felt I had to try it just to see.

    All we got form it was a load of calls from their "Sister" magazines wanting us to advertise in there as there were last minute cancellations, we were specially selected etc, last minute opportunities blar blar bleet. There were other calls pretending that they wanted us to do work but then it was sales calls wanting us to advertise jobs etc.

    Never again, all we got were a load more calls that were a nuisance. I think they thought we would be gullible more than twice!

    DON'T GO NEAR THEM... I GOT CAUGHT UP IN THIS COMPANY AND NOW HAVE THE DEBT COLLECTORS SENDING ME LETTERS!!

    They have had three registered address' since Oct 2010.. the latest is '1 Liverpool Street, London'. Check out the website for this address, it isn't for the Emergency Service Press... oh no.. it's for 'Corperate Persona and Graphic Design' company?!

    One thing you will notice though, is that the company may appear to have had a career change but the contact details and MOST importantly, their Terms and Conditions are still exactly the same.

    BEWARE... try cancelling your add (if you dare)!!!

    Hi all,

    I'm sure everyone is aware that these are scammers.

    There is no magazine that is distributed to all the Police, Fire and NHS under their banner, its a load of rubbish - which I know to be fact!

    One of the idiots even phoned me to tell me he is from the local emergency press office based in a local Police station. We had a really nice conversation until I asked him how ............. was as he was the local Police press officer and I know him, funny the poor chaps phone went dead at that point.

    They are nothing short of con artists. Mod please close the thread and beware of the OP, they pick new business names up from the FSB website and target them.

    Yes, Thats happened to me :eek: I had a guy telling me he was from Essex Police only to rabbit on about placing an advert in their Police Publication.

    When i told them i was in Engineering and there is nothing that the average Police Officer would want to buy, he went on about their garages etc...

    He gave me a number to call him back which funny enough wasn't from essex at all :mad:

    I am new on here but read some old threads about people claiming to want advertisers in their emergency services bulletin from the company ESBULLETIN. They originally rang me and told me they were distributing to 47000 people in my borough. Been anything to do with the services and I fell for it. I agreed they said someone would phone to confirm it. They did and it was recorded both calls were very polite and in the recorded on he said there was a discount of 10 percent if I could pay by debit card. I agreed and was about to but then I thought hang on this could be anyone so said I would wait for the invoice.

    Got home that evening and looked in to it further and seems it may or may not be a scam.

    Can anyone help me as I am meant to be getting on the debt recovery system next or is that fake too. ANYONE heard of ESBULLETIN?

    No, never heard of ESBullitin either. Ignore the debt recovery threats as they are fake and trying to push you into a sale. If they persist in calling you tell them you know they are fake and you have reported them to Trading Standards and if they continue you will report them to the Police for the fraudsters they are.

    I have done all that they don't seem to believe me but don't worry I am off the cop shop :)

    I told them in an email I was cancelling, I said I wanted to send them a letter recorded delivery if they confirmed the address as they seem to change it a bit :) They said I am sorry your looking to cancel but I can't. I don't think they will be geting any money from me...I have proof in the emails of them knowing I wanted to cancel anyway.

    yeh ok. be prepared for them to send you loads of letters, phone threats, fake baliff letters etc. They'll give up after a few weeks. Just tell them every letter and phone call is being recorded and sent to trading standards.

    If anyone wants a picture of their "art work", let me know - I received it this morning. They must be tapping up the best 4 year old graphic designers in the world judging by the "quality" received. That is, of course, unless you dealt with the real company, and I spoke with the scammers?

    Anyway, had these clowns call on Monday. I didn't agree to anything, yet received an invoice. Already passed it on to my legal representative.

    One thing is for sure though, they need a new graphic designer :D

    Uh oh - make that web designer too, judging by their fake website!

    I couldn't agree more we to are having major problems with these idiots ESBULLETIN.

    They are sending sol letters demanding payment for what? a pic with our name on it no date of when it would be published, how many copies and to whom it is going or to what area.

    We are a small company and don't need this crap nor will we be paying any money to them

    would like to hear from any companies out there who are still being hounded by these dim wits

    Perhaps anyone who has ever been sued by these clowns for non payment could detail that in this thread?

    I very much doubt they ever sue anyone - these types of scammers usually have their own fake debt recovery agency, and they aren't so stupid as to actually put their dodgy claim in front of a court.

    no they wouldn't and couldn't sue you. Doing so would mean turning up to court and somehow I don't think the owners would want to appear in public!

    Mind you it all looks very Professional on the face of it you can see how bussiness get caught by them and just pay not to have the hassle they dish out.

    They are still hounding me got the final demand then got the 2nd final demand (which was them saying they were starting court proceeding if no reply in 7 days)

    Then as I ignore everything they do they decided to leave a recorded message on my phone and send me a text message.....seem to have taken a step away from court not a step forward to court ya think? :)

    Don't give these ESbulletin planks the time of day if they wanna waste their time chasing money off me it's up to them...me I have better things to do.

    Most important don't give them your bank details, some things I have read on the web about taking the amount twice....looks like a simple mistake but could you afford that?

    I agree in the begining it seemed professional but as soon as anyone seems really keen to get payment I smell a rat.

    Everything with these wallys seem to result in them wanting payment and if your in businees you should (eventually maybe) realise you cant just stand there and ask for money you need to actually do something (not just a crappy advert) and hopefully people will twig before paying.
