Hi,

I have a recruitment business (solo recruiter) and do a lot of prospecting via email (as well as other methods).

I was wondering whether there was a software solution which was affordable and user freindly for a one man band like me, which would effectively provide tracking on my emails so I could see if an email had been opened, forwarded, deleted etc.

I know of such software available to larger companies such as sports clubs who do regular eshots etc.

Any advice would be greatfully recieved....

Hi Lee J

We can provide you with emailing software that takes care of sending out emails and compiles comprehensive response stats.

It will tell you who opened the email, who unsubscribed, who clicked on what links, who forwarded and who marked as spam.

This is mostly useful for sending out emails to groups of people rather than one-offs.

We can also help out with setting up email templates.

Give me a shout if you are interested (0207 193 7027) or more details at zimma[dot]co[dot]uk.

Silly question but does the read receipt facility not provide at least most of this? I currently use a free email system on my laptop which is running Linux to run the mail account for a company I am working with. The email system is Evolution and it is an Outlook-esque system and the read receipts have generated responses on who has opened, and who has deleted without reading. I am not sure about forwarded but could easily test this.
I suspect the Outlook read receipt does much the same which would mean you could do what you wanted with a free email client (and you can't believe how much it hurts to suggest using Outlook).
