I've created this thread so me and other members of UKBF can share Email Templates to Boost Google Reviews & Map Rankings. I think it would be a valuable resource for business owners who have a Google Maps listing and are not currently focusing on generating regular reviews.
Having plenty of Google reviews will:
Before I kick things off with a SIMPLE but POWERFUL Google review template and strategy, here is a few little nuggets of advice to remember when building reviews on your Google Maps listing.
Deliver Over-The-Top, Mind-Melting Value: I know this is obvious, but you need to leave a lasting impression on each and every single customer by going above and beyond what ANY of your local competitors are willing to do.
Provide an unadvertised bonus or discount and surprise your customers in such a way that they want to tell people about it. (This does not mean you are paying for reviews as that is not allowed, you ask for the review after the job is done, not offer a discount for the review)
Be Timely, While You Are Front Of Mind: Don't leave it a few days, a week or a month to ask for a review. Do it when the job is finished and your customer is over the moon either in person (best) or over the phone (second best), THEN follow up with your email as you return to the office.
Just be honest and tell them that you want to improve your online presence and if they are happy with your services, they would be happy to help you out with a review. Tell them you will send them an email today with the link, so they expect it, rather than come across it days later when their mind is on something else.
Make It 1-Click Simple To Leave A Google Review: Rather than them finding your Google listing, finding the review button and then leaving a review, create a link directly to the review box on your Google Maps listing, so they only have to click once.
Search Google for "Google Review Link Generator" and visit Whitespark. This will help you quickly create a direct link to the review box on your Google Maps listing and will even give you a short URL that you can include in your email, using a selection of Email Templates found on this thread.
I understand that some of your clients will not have a Google account, but a ton of them will have, and a percentage of them will be already logged in, so you are bound to get some reviews if you are consistent and ask EVERY client you serve.
Email Templates to Boost Google Reviews & Map Rankings:
#1: The short and sweet email template (this email should be sent the very same day you ask in person or over the phone and they agree)
The above email template WILL get you reviews, BUT you MUST ask your client in person OR over the phone the very same day you deliver an outstanding service and IF they agree, THEN follow up with the above email.
So the UKBF community can get some massive value out of this thread, PLEASE share any examples of emails you have used to generate reviews, and also share your success and let us know how many reviews you have got using the powerful strategy and Google review email template above, as after all, that's all that really matters here.
Having plenty of Google reviews will:
- Increase the ranking of your Google Maps listing
- Increase the trust and authority of your business
- Increase the click-through rate (calls, website clicks).
