Just as a guideline how much would a design agency charge to design a half a page advert in a magazine?

If any of you guys have asked a design agency to desing one how much have you been charged?

There are so many out there that do this its a 'buyer's market' so to speak. I think you should be able to find someone to do it for under £400. Just make sure you like their previous work first!

It really depends on what size spread the magazine has (A3/A4/A5) and how much experience the designer has.

I'd talk to your local Uni design department see if any students want some work experience personally as thats the cheapest route!

This is something we would do for about £100 as graphical design is part of our work for campaigns . Quotes can really depend on whether you have a vector/hi-res logo available and the copy prepared for it.

As far as pricing is concerned, it shouldn't make any difference whether it's an A6 card or a full-size billboard. It's the design of the item that the agency charges for (time, stock imagery search, illustration etc - lots of factors).
