Email Marketing Lists

Agree with @InternetMarketingPlatinum. Building your own list is perhaps more of a long term strategy, but the advantage is you have a email list receptive to your products and services and more likely to engage with you. In the short term, a marketing list may be useful. I'm also looking for a marketing list but have not found an appropriate provider yet.

I will let you know if anything comes up.

@dotcom I would suggest you buying a simple squeeze page on leadpages or clickfunnels. Put tracking on it and start doing PPC/remarketing campaigns to generate leads right aware.

This gives you 100% control of the campaigns and quality of the leads. Build your own list and start nuture the incoming leads (use mailchimp, aweber or other AR for automation)

A spam email is one that is unsolicited marketing. It's going to be pretty difficult for your email to look like anything other than spam.

And do you like receiving spam?

Building an email marketing list is a great way to build relationships with prospects and keep in touch. If you want immediate results you'll get better value for money with PPC on Google or Facebook than you will from cold-emailing a list of prospects.

Consider:
  • If you can rent/buy this list so can anybody else and these people get a CRAPLOAD of spam email and are very attuned to not reading it
  • Most email marketing providers won't allow you to use a bought list as part of their terms and conditions

The link you supplied is probably legit in terms of them actually having what they are offering for sale.

There are probably 100s of small outfits, and an army of Indians on Freelancing sites selling email lists that do the rounds. One person probably bought them for a genuine list compiler like Duedil and from there it was re-sold and got into the hands of people who are essentially selling them in contravention of database rights, but its not easy to enforce.

In 2014 I bought a database of about 250 million Americans, many with DOB, race, religion, political aff, house purchase price, mortgage lender, mortgage financier, mortgage length, magazine subscriptions, whether they have AC or a swimming pool, net worth and a whole host of other details ... And is cost $250 or $500. I don't remember.

When I received it, I found it was data from the credit agency, Experian, obviously being sold without their consent. However, I couldn't care less, Experian are a disgusting outfit who have access to all sorts of info like your UK bank balances and this data is routinely sold for massive profits. They also have abysmal data protection, owing to their desire to make money over privacy; thus why an Indian who ends every other word with -ings is selling their data from a botched Joomla install with character encoding issues. They have also leaked something like 170 million social security numbers to fraudsters.

If you want to extricate yourselves from their dragnet, set up an account with Hang Seng bank in Hong Kong. Very cheap to use; and they have 86% capital reserves, as opposed to the 1% that UK banks likely hold.

From what I've been told, offering an attractive lead magnet is the best way to entice an email list signup. This can be an ebook, checklist, webinar... I am trying to build a following for my first book on brand identity for small business coming out on May 20 on Amazon, where it will be free for 5 days. I created a free pdf summary of the first section of the book, which I am about to start offering for free as well as a webinar on the subject taught in the book.

Depends what you're planning to do with the list, most list retailers sell the lists multiple times and the busineses you're contacting have already been spammed to death, I hire a VA to scrape my data for me sirectly from Google.

If you're scraping from the first 2 pages of Google for lot's of search terms you know those businesses are active.

My VA costs me £2 an hour from online jobs . ph
