Hi,

If anyone could give help on this it would be brilliant.

Looking for software/program that we can enter our potential customers details onto ie email address and name etc.

Once a month send an email to all the customers on the database as a gentle reminder we are still here, and looking for there business.

Potential customer base is over 20000 uk businesses, does anyone have any experience with these kind of programmes/software.

Any recommendations would be brilliant,

Kind Regards

Aaron

Mailchimp or Dotmailer? both have scanners in place to vet your list before adding it to the database.

if any addresses match up with blacklisted or isp complained in the past they won't add them to your send list.

Because they are US based you won't get much support or development? Seriously?

There servers are grey-listed? Greylisting is an incoming SMTP technology not outgoing.

You have a friend that works at pure360 - you mean like your username?

ermm.....Alex, dont you work for Pure360?. As it happens, I quite like Pure360 but the above post makes out you have nothing to do with them.

Why not keep them in a spreadsheet or database, and use it to mailmerge with Word / Outlook?

Fairly simplistic, and may not be cost effective, but you might already have the tools at your fingertips so you can start immediately. Loads of info how to do this on the internet.

Four years ago I ran a construction company and started using Video Email to communicate with my client base and as information for potential clients.

I immediately experienced a 20% increase in phone call to acceptance conversion rates and a 10% increase in add on and referral business.

People receive black & white emails all day, video gives your mailings a wow factor. You can track the responses, see if they forward them and if they click to your web site.

If you want to know more, let me know, I use it for everything now, I believe email will go the way of the letter in a few years.

Hi Aaron,

I agree, mailchimp, pure360 and dotmailer are all good broadcasting platforms which I have used previously and with a customer list you shouldn't have any problems loading this up.

If you are interested in a managed broadcast solution and HTML support please give me a call as we provide managed broadcasts and also hold a list of all trading businesses within the UK which can be utilised for cold mailings when required.

I would recommend our email marketing software that allows you to add up to 32 IPs per cluster. We called this as STEALTH MTA SYSTEM. If you want to know more about this software, just PM me.

There are a number of issues with this.

Bandwidth - if you are sending lots of emails out it can take up a huge amount of resource and bandwidth.

Blacklisted - I have seen companies get their own mailserver blacklisted which effectively stopped all emails sent from outlook reaching their destination.

Intelligence - Effective email marketing isn't just about blasting out a message you think will work. You need to look at the results you are getting, why are some campaigns getting a higher open or click through rate. Outlook will not allow this.

I also recommend you to use Mailchimp. It lets you design your own newsletters, logo and images with your mail which you can also share to your social media pages/accounts. You can track easily the reuslts of your campaign emails with mailchimp . You can try it for free up to 1000 subscribers and send approximately 6000 emails in one month. :)

I use Sendblaster. Their package is quite comprehensive and at present they offer a free tracker which allows you to see what links prospects are using listing the email addresses. I also use my own ISP to sent emails. The downside to this is that I am limited to 2000 emails a day but hey its free! One other thing they have their own email design software too. The tracker used is linked back directly to your own domain so it cannot be spammed.
Hope this helps.
