Email address help

So the first thing to do would be to register your own domain name. If you go for a .co.uk then you're looking at minimal amounts of money.

A lot of domain registrars will offer you email hosting as part of the registration deal. Another option is to get them to forward mail sent to [email protected] to a particular Gmail address. Gmail will let you send email _from_ your own domain if you can prove the address is really yours. This is a very simple thing to set up.

We offer mail forwarding as part of our standard filtering package but I suspect that will cost more than you are expecting to pay.

There are dozens of people who provide this service, so I can't recommend a specific one. I _can_ recommend that you don't use 123-reg. I've heard many horror stories involving them over the years.

Hello,

Doesn't your business have a domainname because normaly you can just ask your profider for extra email adresses and it normaly wont cost you a thing.

Else just register at a hosting company. They will also have email account for a few euro a year. Youy could also if you dont have it yet. Register a domainname for your company. You can do this from 30 euro a year and the most providers will give you many 5 email accounts of more.

I'm guessing from your post you don't already have a domain name (yourcompany.co.uk or similar)?

If thats the case all you need to do is purchase a domain name (a .co.uk is about £8 for 2 years or less).

Then all you need is some standard web hosting (can range in price but our package to do the email addresses plus a bit more if you need it would be about £30 per year).

Once those two are setup you are away, most decent web hosts will set it all up for you so its worth picking one with good customer service.

I hope this helps.

It will depend on how you want to use your email - online, offline, both to give belt-and-braces - if you use one pc at your office only or use a multiplicity of pc's wherever you find them - if you travel a lot away from base - etc.

You should be able to get a domain and email facility from virtually any Service Provider at a fairly cheap price.

If you want us to do it, we have a standard offering of a .co.uk domain and 5 email addresses which can operate as POP3 or IMAP so can therefore bend to however you want to use them - all for £1 a month.

PM me if you want more detail.
