Ecommerce frontend for cloud backup service

Good Afternoon,

I'm looking to create an ecommerce front end system which can be tied into a backup server backend via means of an API provided by the creator of the backup server.

Basically I'm wanting to create a website to sell online, cloud backup services and the API tools provided will allow me to automate the functionality of the backend so that when a customer signs up for the service on the website and pays by paypal (I'm thinking on a Paypal subscription basis, as it will be a monthly or annual payment) an account for the backup service is automatically created by the backend system.

I'd like to be able to incorporate some additional functionality into the front end, including a voucher/coupon option so that we can give away codes for 1/2/3 months free service etc.

Really just looking for advice on the best way to create such a front end that can be altered to work with the API once I have access to it, integrate with Paypal for subscriptions and offer voucher code functions. If there's a way of also integrating with Kashflow this would be ideal!

Any suggestions? I'm not really sure whether I'm looking for a system that I can use as a base to create this myself or to pay for somebody else's services to do this - it would all depend on the costs involved!

Many thanks, :)

Marc,

When you say the cloud - are you looking at a specific cloud technology?

We're looking at producing a Windows Azure version of our .net shopping cart

http://www.kartris.com

In theory is should be relatively straightforward as Azure is built on .net and SQL Server.

Our software already supports vouchers/coupons. Perhaps it could be modified to tie into the backup system? PM me if you'd like to talk more about this.

I would suggest you have something made from scratch for this. Sounds like an interesting project and if you have a brief put together feel free to send it over and let me take a look im sure we can build this for you.
