One man band sellers on eBay will often hike up prices temporarily while they are on holiday or waiting for stock. This secures their position but stops people from placing orders until they reduce the price again.

I wouldn't be without one! Smartphones aren't the most robust things in the world. You could launch an old nokia 5110 out of a cannon and it would still work, but modern smartphones are a little more delicate. I have a screen protector on my phone and a jelly case similar in style to the one mentioned in this thread. If I drop it a short distance it absorbs some damage. It also stops keys and coins destroying the finish. And as it isn't an all encompassing case I can still use my phone while it is in it.

Have had my iPhone 4 since the day they were launched no case/film and no scratches on the screen, few marks on the back.

And trust me I drop it a lot!
