Morning all,

We are considering opening an eBay shop primarily to clear some end of line products.
For those that use eBay regularly as a platform to sell have you invested in a professional listing template and does it pay off?

I used to sell 30,000 plus orders each year on eBay, I was considering a professionally built template, but decided to leave the platform due to the rules changing with no notice. It was very much a love hate relationship, I loved the ease of sales, just ended up hating the company.

I personally had no problem in selling without a template, but I’m sure others who have used one will be able to comment and be more helpful.

We had a professionally designed template around five years ago. Didn't improve sales and as time has passed, we've ditched it.

We also had a consultation last month with an ebay specialist, (worked for ebay,) and they said that the templates don't really achieve much at all.

So, may work for some, but it most certainly didn't for us.

I don't think there's any point bothering with a template. Just keep it simple.

Most ebay buyers these days are using the app on their phones / tablets which doesn't automatically show the description anyway. You have to click "see full description" link to get to it and its often missed.

Just concentrate on a good title, pictures and delivery time as these are the things most prominent on your listing.
