Exactly. But then you'll get people coming on here saying 'yeah well you should just set up your own website then you won't have to do eBay'

yeah..right..so I just build a website and hit 20,000 visitors a day as soon as it goes live?

eBay and Amazon are simply too big to avoid when dealing in online retail sales of popular products and brands. You'd struggle to get a new website setup selling brand names without throwing money at it for months just to get a few sales through the door.

The flip side being of course that they can shut you down and take all the money they're holding without so much as an email. High risk!

The issue will be that over those 2 years any bad feedback and compaints you've had are going to have been taken into account and counted all at once, hence Ebay kicking off now, it's like a limit you must hit or something. Try and get them to call you or call them, because they'll fall apart and have to let you go back on, there's no real grounding from the sounds of it so you should be fine as soon as you talk to someone from Ebay.
