eBay integration with Click N Drop

I've just moving to Click N Drop by Royal mail for dispatching eBay items and it appears that you cannot get CnD to automatically select the correct dispatch service based on what the customer has chosen at eBay checkout.

This feels like it should be an obvious requirement for any business. I can't manually go through and apply the correct postage service to each order individually as I have too many orders per day. What is the best solution? Is there a 3rd party ERP solution that will read the postal service chosen by the customer and print the correct postage?

Hi Simon

I believe you can do this. There is a section in Settings called "Shipping Rules", you select your eBay channel (once linked) and then you can specify the "Store Postage Method" which is the shipping option that the customer selected at checkout on eBay.

You then select the appropriate Royal Mail shipping option to match and save the rule. Now any of the orders that come in with that Store Postage Method will select the Royal Mail shipping option you have matched it to in the rule when the order comes in from eBay.

Ian,

I just wanted to say thank-you as you saved me signing up to another solution for something that CnD actually does. You obviously know the product better than the Royal Mail support staff who were adamant that it could not do this. Looking to go live with it this Friday.

Thank you again.

Just wondering how things were going with this now that you've been using it for a few weeks? I had to stop using it because it was affecting my rating. If an order came in after the post had left for a day, even 11.59pm, then Ebay still counted that as the despatch day and when it didn't arrive within their predetermined timescale, which they automatically found from Royal Mail tracking info, they treated this as a point against me which had started to get towards lowering my rating. I had no option but to remove the integration so that Ebay only had buyer feedback to work off instead of basing it off a poorly implemented algorithm. Just wondering if you had noticed any issues because would be keen to use again if they had resolved this issue.
