ebay books through ltd company

Appreciate anyone's input here.
We have a ltd company importing and selling goods.
We also have a ebay account which we have turned into a ebay shop.

Question is, can we run this ebay shop through our ltd company books?

You can, as long as the ebay account is in the name of the Company. If the account is in your personal name, then you are also a sole trader and would need to register for self employment.

Due to the tax/NI advantages of the Ltd Co, you might be better opening a company ebay account if you are currently using a personal account for this.

When running as a business ebay account, you can treat this as another bank account in your books and buy/sell transactions through it in that way.

Thanks for your reply, a little confused as to what you mean to be honest.
If my ebay shop uses paypal business account and the paypal account uses our ltd company name, does this work?

Yes this is what I meant. As the Ltd Co is a seperate entity to you personally, both the paypal and ebay accounts need to be set up in the Ltd Co name.
