eBay & Amazon

Hi,

We have started selling on eBay and had quite a bit of success. We got a call from Amazon and they persuaded me to give them a go.

All I had to do was give them a price file which consisted of my SKU's and the price I would like to sell them for. Then Amazon made some huge mistakes and started matching up my SKUs to incorrect products and I ended up mis selling a lot of products and lost a lot of money.

Are there any tools that people have used that lets you upload an inventory to one site that feeds it to both Google & eBay? If so are they any good?

The methods of listing on ebay and Amazon are completely different, so I don't know of a tool that would do both simultaneously. We sell on both of these outlets, but also direct from our website, and the hope is that eventually a lot of the traffic will come direct to our website, and in that respect ebay and Amazon should be viewed as marketing tools.
I listed our own products on Amazon through the 'seller central' but it was a bit of a faff getting it sorted, I have to admit.

what ecommerce solution are you using? or are you purely ebay?

If you have a main website then depending on what solution you use, there might well be a plugin / module that will do what you are after. i.e Magento there is a couple of plugins that will do this

Well I have one site (soon to be 2) on Magento. But those products are asy to add to both.

The issue I had was uploading my suppliers feed to Amazon. They made a hash of it to be honest.

I will see what plug ins I can get to upload them to both.

Magento can link between Amazon and Ebay, or have a look at linnworks, as i'm sure that can link all three
