E-mail Marketing Software Change

Hi all,

We're looking at potentially changing e-mail marketing providers. Currently we use DotMailer; which is a very strong system - but very costly.

Does anyone have any suggestions? What I need from software is:

* Personalisation abilities
* Reporting ("hot prospects") - follow the users opening history, etc
* Split test abilities, from subject line to creative, etc

I have used the following system, but around 2-3 years ago now (have they changed/got better?!)
* Communigator
* Pure360
* MailChimp

Any help would be great, thanks
Nick

I use MailChimp myself, and help clients migrate, as they have a very intuitive dashboard, ability to create customisable email templates and easy-to-use reports.

I would agree they are very strict and will clamp down on spam very quickly. I think this is as much to prevent their IPs being blacklisted as meeting anti-spam laws but I think if you get proper permission for your mailing lists and are smart about what you send (plus offer an easy to way to unsubscribe rather than letting them click the spam button when it's not needed) then it is the very best choice out there.

Some good suggestions above, I would also recommend looking at Active Campaign too, has some great additional features. The other thing to look out for is integration, if you are going to use your email list in connection with another service, eg a CRM system, how easily it integrates becomes a big factor, MailChimp through its popularity tends to integrate with most other systems easily.
