E-Commerce sites for sale?

P

PrettyPaws

Where's the best place to find UK based e-commerce sites which are up for sale? There's so much spam and "turn key" sites around it's very difficult to find established web businesses for sale. Any ideas?

The best places I have found are "business for sale dot com" and "Daltons".

Both have a very good search facilities to narrow down your requirements.

Both also have a dedicated section for websites/ecommerce.

There are a couple of others but you have to pay.

Hope this helps and good luck!

It depends what sector you are looking for.

If you are looking for sites in your own sector the first place to look could be in any trade mags. Also have a look at competitors and see if they are looking to sell.

If you are looking to buy a well established business I agree with one of the first responses of businessesforsale.com. Another site I'd recommend to buy online businesses is www dot nettrade-price dot com.

If you are looking for supplies I myself am setting up my own dropshipping company that is under www dot thedragonenterprise dot co dot uk.

Hope this helps.

4. Upon the order of the item you take payment (for example £150), you then pay us £50 and then you keep the profit of £100.
This sounds fantastic!

What product do you provide? I couldn't find any on the site.

Do I have to register first?

I'm pleased you think so.

The site will be providing supplies for Jewellery, lingerie, fashion accessories and party products initially but this range will extend rapidly. To have access to purchase the item yes you will need to be registered. But if you would like me to arrange for you to see the information prior to purchase that is not a problem (naturally you will want to see your margins first which is completely understandable) :). Please send your details and any enquiries to my e-mail address thedragonenterprise at live dot co.uk.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

The hosting is included in the £17.99 + VAT fee which has now replaced £99 per month costing.

In terms of marketing we offer the lates in both SEO and SMO. We do not offer offline marketing. We also have access to a state-of-the-art software package called NetDirector LeadBeast that we highly recommend when looking at your online and offline marketing and what you are getting for your money.

Yes although customisable the e-Retailer package is templated.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Hi Matt,

Just had a quick look at your site and new product Tiger Commerce.
Its looks quite interesting.
A few questions based on if I were to set up a shop with your company

1. As you are also setting up drop-shipping how would all my sources of product be protected from being duplicated as you would effectively be able to see them on xml feeds etc. The products are Personal Care, Cosmetics, Hair products etc.

2. How would you say this software compares to Magento (the other one I am seriously considering?

3. Do you have any examples of existing sites or is it too early?

Feel free to send am IM but I am sure the responses would benefit other interested parties.

Regards

David

Good afternoon,

I'm glad you liked the look of Tiger Commerce and I hope my site The Dragon Enterprise also :).

1. Could clarify what you mean by 'protected' with the products on your site?

2. I have heard Magento is a good piece of software as I know Tiger Commerce is but I have never had a business on Magento. So I would recommend you set up a 7 day free trial on www dot tigercommerce dot co.uk.

3. I have no clients live using The Dragon Enterprise as it is a new business. I would also only advertise them based on the agreement with my clients for reasons I'm sure you could understand. Where Tiger Commerce is concerned they have 100's of clients already live that look great. Have a look at some of them below that I know of;

  • www (dot) squadronleader (dot) co.uk
  • www (dot) limexb360 (dot) co.uk
  • www (dot) 1-2-5-3 (dot) com
I hope this helps.

Many thanks

Hi there,

Yeah as of this morning it was officially changed to Tiger Commerce. Following NetDirector e-Trade Pro's success and keeping in with G-Forces 'survival of the fittest' orientated campaign NetDirector e-Trade Pro has evolved to Tiger Commerce.

Hope this helps.
