Duplicate question?

Hi Guys

If i have 12 sites, all with the same design (logo,nav menu, page names etc) but with completely different text, headers and meta thingys would theses sites be classed as duplicate sites, im guessing not but just thought i would ask.

Also would it be ok to link to my main site from each of the sites?

Logos and graphics can't be read by Google. If you've got different content on each site then the sites will be considered different but with similar themes.

I have a client who is part of a group. All the sites within the group use exactly the same theme but with different text and the logos vary slightly. All sites rank for their key words and have done for a long time.

I don't see a problem with linking th sites as a couple within my clients group do this.

No they would not, although I would wonder why the Meta (assuming you are including the page title in that) would all be the same, when the text is different?

this is where it gets really dodgy, why do this? this could possibly get picked up algorithmically and get the sites penalised if other 'checks' prove a connection to the main site (not posting openly as it is revealing spam tactics)

What are you trying to achieve here? I am assuming you are looking to dominate page 1 maybe? if so there are so many better ways to do this.

Absolutely not. If your content and Meta content is different then there will be no problem. (Think Wordpress for example.)

Absolutely not. Google will not read the Logos and graphics. If your site text and Meta content is different then they will not count as duplicate site.
