Hi,

I set up a ltd company to protect the name and is dormant.

When do I have to file the accounts and confirmation statement with Companies House and what forms?

Please note the company was incorporated on 27 Aug 2019 and has been dormant throughout.

Thanks in advance.

The confirmation statement is usually due on the anniversary of incorporation.

Companies House will have allocated the company an Accounting Reference Date (ARD). This date is usually the last month from your company's incorporation date, so in your case it probably is 31 August 2020. You have 9 months to file your accounts. You can check the date Companies House want you to use by looking at your company on the Companies House website.

The form to use for filing dormant accounts is here.

Hi Scalloway,

Further to your thread on form AA02, is this all I need to file or do I have to file a balance sheet as well for a dormant company?

Thanks in advance
