Hi All,

Tomorrow I'm heading into town with a lot of leaflets introducing our new IT services company and offering a free interior clean and PC tune when they spend £35 with us. I'm going to target local business first, mostly round the shops etc - however Ive not done this before and I'm starting to get nervous trying to think of good opening lines etc. Can any of you help me out with ideas?

Hi Lisa

The suggestion from Serv Wise is a good one. Have that opening line ready and rehearse it a bit so that you can just say it.

I also agree with the advice to be yourself. Be friendly and open and above all smile!

One final tip, have a clipboard or a notepad and pen with you. When you get people that seem interested get their details (name, e mail and phone number) so you can follow up with them

I like this idea about taking a pen etc to follow up.

the main thing is to just be yourself, once you have gone into 1-2 shops you will feel much for at ease :)

couldn't you do a special offer for all new customers or the first x amount of customers?

Anyway, good luck and keep us all updated :)
