Domiciliary Care start up

Hello,

I am hoping to gain some advice on setting up a home care agency in England.

Myself and a friend are hoping to start a home care agency. We have begun putting together our policy's and procedures etc, however was concerned about registration with CQC.

I have a couple of years experience as a carer and a hospital to home care assessor, and my friend has 3 years experience as a care assistant and personal nursing assistant. I was concerned that this would not be enough experience? Or would this be OK as we will be starting up with a registered manager who fits the requirements for that role (will be starting their level 5 leadership in health and social care when the company begins)

Any advice would be great as we don't want to go through the whole process to be declined due to lack of experience or qualifications on paper.

Thank you in advance for the helpful comments.

Jake you are unlikely to find someone here who knows enough about how the CQC works to advise you on this area. There are lots of companies who advise providers working with the CQC in terms of training, processes etc but I don't think you need them for the registration process.

Have your read the information here - http://www.cqc.org.uk/content/what-registration?

If you aren't clear after reading information on their site and reading the guidance they provide - just give them a call or email them.
