3.30pm. Starting to get darker, lights on in the office. Depression just creeping in. Is it time to stop work yet? Five months of afternoon darkness ahead.:(

But cheer up!!! :):) I must think of how I am helping so many of the UK residents! There, that's better. Now I feel I am a really good and supportive member of the majority suffering to look after the minority. Maybe I will have a cup of tea to celebrate? Or sing a little song? Dance a teeny jig?

Research showed that Scotland and NI would be better off if the clocks stayed on BST. Odd that.

Even now I am up at a time when it is dark, so the extra hour in the morning makes no difference to me.

Got it off my chest. Thanks for reading!

    No problem.

If you feel this is a really good idea join the campaign here:

The more people who write to their MPs the better. And help to debunk some of the myths like "It will make life difficult for farmers".

These are the results of research into the time change by the Policy Studies Institute.

    http://www.psi.org.uk/pdf/2010/SCOTLAND_DAYLIGHT_FINAL_v4.pdf

    WHO SUPPORTS THE PROPOSAL?
     All road safety organisations
 Many sectors of industry – especially tourism and leisure services
 Nearly all bodies involved in trade, travel and communications
 Organisations providing sports, recreational and cultural facilities
 Groups representing children, teenagers, women, pensioners, and people in
    rural communities.
    CONCLUSION
The evidence presented in this report indicates that advancing the clocks would
bring the Scottish people at least as great benefits as those predicted for the rest of
the UK. This finding - combined with recent Scottish polls showing fairly evenlydivided support for and against the move - adds up to an exceptionally strong case
    for reform

That means it would not make a difference if it stayed on BST - you would still get the exact same amount of day light during your day. Both ways you would wake up when its dark.. :)
