Does My Employer Need My New Card Details?

I've received my new debit card and my current one is due to expire in January.

I don't like approaching someone to update some details only to find out that I didn't need to or that such details weren't important enough to be brought to attention. Which is awkward.

I'd like to ask first if it's necessary that I give my new card number and CVV/security number to my employer or would that be unnecessary because they have my sort code and account number?

Thanks.

To pay your wages / salary your employers just need your sort code and account number.

If your bank account details changed, then only you should approach your account office and provide them with the new bank account details. There is no need to provide them your card detail, and they will surely not ask for new debit card details.
